Patishapta is a Bengali sweet which is a pancake roll with sweet stuffing. This recipe gives a tangy twist to the traditional patishapta 😉
Ingredients
Del Monte Premium Pitted Prunes : 20
Khowa : 200gm
Maida / All purpose flour : 1 cup
Semolina / Sooji : 1 cup
Milk : 3 cups
Sugar : 1 tablespoon
Salt : To taste
Soybean Oil : For frying
Batter
Mix the maida, semolina, milk, sugar and salt. Keep aside for 2 hrs.
Filling
Keep the prunes in quarter cup of hot water, covered, for about 2 hrs. After it becomes soft mash it. Add mashed khowa and mix well.
Frying
In a non-stick frying pan heat the oil. pour the batter making an oval shape. When one side is half done flip it to cook the other side. Add the filling in the middle and fold the sides to make a roll. Cook the roll well and serve hot. Njoy 😀
