Wiki Loves Monuments In India Is Back

It’s that time of the year again. Wiki Loves Monuments 2023 in India is starting in a couple of weeks. And like the last few years, it will be organised by the West Bengal Wikimedians User Group.

About Wiki Loves Monuments

Wiki Loves Monuments is an annual global photographic competition of monuments. It is organised by Wikimedia, the nonprofit body behind Wikipedia and other free knowledge projects. The 2012 edition of Wiki Loves Monuments holds the Guinness World Record for the largest photography competition.

The process

The first round includes the national contest of the participating countries. Ten winners from each country then proceed to the international and final round. There are separate national and international prizes to be won. The competition is held for one month between 1st September and 31st October. In India, the dates are 1st – 30th September.
